Prompted by Annie's story below I ask the following:
How many folks will use a sink for a quick piss if it
is convenient? I recall somebody (I think on the
elitegold forum) mentioning that in Europe the hotels
often have sinks in the room, and they are basically
considered to be porcelain urinals with *two* handles.
I myself had considered installing a urinal in my basement
shop, but there really wasn't enough room. Plus you can't
wash up at one of those. So the sink does serve when
I'm busy and don't feel like climbing the flights of
stairs. I'm pretty tall, and I mounted the sink just a
tad on the low side.
I was interested to note that Annie had indeed considered
using the sink in her room, but rejected it as structurally
unsound. How to explain that, sink on the floor, water
spraying out of the wall, and piss all over?
