It's kinda like speeding. It's illegal, but everybody does it. Sure, a few people get caught... but we all know the only reason the cops are out there enforcing the speed limit at all is REVENUE. And even the people that get caught are back out there speeding a few days later. Or the "war on drugs"... the USA spends billions every year trying to stop drugs from coming across the border, but for every shipment that gets stopped 10 more make it across.
At some point logic should dictate that the efforts of people trying to enforce said policy are being wasted. Remember, repeating the same action but expecting different results is the definition of insanity. These "policies" that are popping up all over the 'net aren't going to stop anyone... and maybe in another few years the powers that be will realize this and come up with some better method.
Not only is copyright enforcement in this manner ineffective, it is a complete waste of time and resources and there is no revenue to be gained from doing it.
I am simply asking that if links to a site are going do be disallowed because they MIGHT have copyrighted material then this policy should be applied to every site. Because let's face it, they all MIGHT have copyrighted material.
And for the record, it wasn't even my video that got removed. I am merely speaking about the principle of the matter.
