The one thing I might disagree with is the assumption that only men are interested in porn sites or in blatant sexual overtures. True, 99% of women (the soccer-mom wannabes Grandma would consider "respectable") probably wouldn't dream of talking to a man in an adult-oriented (i.e. wet) chatroom. But I'm guessing there are exceptions.
Let's not forget that in every city in the world, there are hundreds or even thousands of otherwise lovely ladies who are happily engaged in careers as exotic dancers, call girls, models, adult-film actors, and so on. And for every such professional, I would guess there are a whole slew of amateurs perched on barstools in the various bars and dancehalls around town, flirting and showing off their stuff.
Why more of them don't post on the adult-oriented message boards, I can't say. It's too bad that they don't, since there are millions of us decent, likeable guys out here "looking" (that's the OTHER myth that needs dispelled, by the way: that every man who posts on a sex site is a slobbering derelic or a closet sex offender or both).
Maybe a few of the ladies you say are "lurking but not posting" could stick around just long enough to shed a bit of light on this topic. And while you're at it, gals...maybe you can answer another question which has bugged me forever:
When women are surfing the Internet on a sweltery summer's night and are feeling , well... (how shall we say?) ...horny...where do you go? What kind of websites do you look for? Do you head for the chatrooms or message boards? What kind? Chatting with men, other women, or what? Talking about what?
Sorry for being so nosy (or curious). But I guess I have never really had a total grasp on female sexuality or what it is that a woman finds erotic. I'd love to be enlightened!
Btw, this is an interested subject, but it may be wandering too off topic. If so, feel free to do WetSet a favor and discuss it on our Idyllion Forum board...linked below. It's just sitting there going to waste...
