Because people are self-righteous by
nature. Because they bring one-minded
social attitudes into an arena ( sex ) where
there is no correct or incorrect, regardless
of how much they would like to believe so.
Because they believe that a desire in ones
mind can actually be either illeagal or socially
unpopular for the current times. Self-righteousness is born out of the need to
be accepted by a others and subscribing to
ideals of a comfortably lagre group where
they can count on others to support their
very unoriginal toughts and desires.
People don't respect the pleasures and desires of others if they perceive those desires
to be wrong and their own to be right. What
people can't get a grip on is that a given
person's sexual kinks don't necessarilly follow
socially one-minded values or principles.
Finally, I believe people are far too interested
in other people, even when it doesen't or
can't be to their own benefit.
