I witnessed an accident about an hour ago, while on the way to a nearby deli to pick up a sandwich for lunch. I stopped for a traffic control device while waiting for the turn arrow into the shopping plaza. The truck in front of me did not. It rear ended a BMW.
I parked my car in the lot for the deli and then walked back to the accident scene to make sure no one was seriously injured and to give a statement to the police for the accident report.
The driver and lone occupant of the BMW was a very attractive woman, probably in her young to mid twenties. She was still sitting behind the wheel of the car, when I approached, with her hands covering her face. Although broken glass was everywear and the back of the car suffered quite a bit of damage, I didn't think she was seriously hurt because of the airbag and the seatbelt that strapped her into the seat. She was crying out of control and I had difficulty understanding her. Turns out she was running errands in her boss' brand new car.
She was having difficulty getting out of the car, because of the seatbelt, deflated airbag, and all the broken glass, so I opened the door to offer her a hand. And that's when I noticed the dark stain spreading across the lower pelvic region and upper thigh area of her winter white slacks. She was urinating in her pants right then and there. Now she was really crying and the more she cried, the more she peed and the more she peed the more she cried. The flow finally ebbed and I asked if she had a jacket or coat to cover herself. When she nodded her head from side to side in the negative, I suggested that she wait in her car for the police while I ran back to my car to get her a sweatshirt to wrap around her waist. I also grabbed an empty coffee cup off the floor of my car and handed it to her along with my sweatshirt when I returned to the scene a few seconds later. People were standing around the vehicles, but all seemed oblivious to the only accident that I really cared about. Someone asked if she was hurt. I responded, "Other than spilling her coffee on her lap, I think she's alright."
