I remember that story actually. I've seen some pretty bad public bathrooms, it didn't really seem that implausible.
I've known a few girls that would let themselves get into a bad state to avoid pooping with other people around. Not to this level. I think it was both the degree to which the one girl seems to be unable to function normally, and the degree to which nobody seems to care about it seemed to put me off. If there was some interaction between them rather than being treated like a barely sentient pet. Especially with a best friend.
Maybe I am over thinking it, but I just wish there was a more human compassion. I like cute and heartwarming though.
