... piercing is an interesting juxtaposition, isn't it?
I love "subcultural girls", ala the Nekromantix track, and find that blending an aggressive, stylistic, startling aesthetic (be it GAFickry, rivet, punk, 'billy, or some mash-up; I don't personally care for the rave/electronic scene, but the penchant for day-glow and pacifiers is a natural compliment). Blending such with the trappings of ageplay so many of us appreciate it can be quite lovely. The penchant for school girl skirts and other cute anachronisms (be they Victorian or from the 50s of the last century) certainly do lend themselves to the little games with patriarchy that we all play.
Perhaps the suggestion of naughtiness that fashion-expressed "rebellion" represents adds a little something for me, as well, and sets up a bit of the "naughty minx" role-image that I must admit suits me as a foil to my "Daddy Dearest/Father Knows Best."
