The particular cultural construct of western male sexuality is predicated on the nonexistence of the image it purports to desire. The actual existence of AB girls is threatening to the male construct because it takes forces them to seek something beyond the controllable field of their sexual subjectivity. It is the same with men and lesbians.
To affirm existence is to relinquish power. The fact that people are invested in controlling who is aware of their participation in this identity increases the male's tendency toward paranoid seclusion.
