I posted this on the diaper site about 3 weeks ago and had no luck. This appears to be a better board for the question.
I was a chronic bedwetter up until the time I was about 15 when I finally grew out of it. I have just recently started again to accidently wet the bed from
time to time ( I am now 43) 6 times in the past 3 months. As a child I have a memory of this grey rubber sheet my mom kept on my bed, with the ridges
and channels that would hold the pee. She used to place it over my mattress pad, immediately under my sheet. When I would pee the bed (which was
about every night) the pee would collect on the rubber sheet and disburse in the channels between the rubber ridges and would have the effect of
soaking my pjs from head to toe. In the morning my mom would pull back the bed sheet and wipe down the rubber sheet with a towel or wet rag and
then allow my bed to dry out. Over the years my rubber sheet became "worn" in and the grey yellowed in the "sweet spot" and it had a familiar scent of
rubber and pee. From time to time my mom would wash it, but the distinctive smell never left. The thing wore like iron and I believe I had the same
rubber sheet on my bed from elementary school until I stoped wetting in highschool.
Does anyone remember these things and perhaps know where I could find one today.
