First, you probably know about refastenable Depends protective underwear. They don't require you to remove pants/shoes to be changed. You can just unfasten them and use them like a brief in the bathroom. Second, and more importantly, try wearing two pairs of Depends refastenable. You can put them both on in the safety of your home, with or without using the fastenable tabs. Then, when you go into the bathroom to change, you only have to rip the wet pair off and you have a second diaper ready to go. I just drove 6,000 miles (cross country and back) and used that method to help minimize trips into the rest areas - believe me, it works!
