You are kidding, I hope. Don't you know what causes these minor marks of brown? It is as plain as the nose... never mind.
Gas! Depending on what is normal for a person (man OR woman), there is usually a tiny bit of moisture that is evoked with gas. If you have tiny farts, or if you are mostly constipated, then you dont get much of this moisture, and you have few if any marks in your panties. Otherwise, with every emission of gas, you get some level of liquid that will most assuredly leave a mark. Do you have long, sometimes loud farts? More marks; even if they are silent but deadly... perhaps especially if they are!
Now, if you push too hard on this gas, and emitt something more, then the marks are, of course, greater. I know that mine are - indeed, I seldom get to see the minor marks at all - they get covered up with heavier things than gas.
