Maria, I hope you didnt hurt yourself too much, and even more, I hope the bruises are not so bad that they have created imperfections in your legs.
I know that must have been awful for you. You had the perfect way into the house, no one would know, and then you tripped and got the attention of all too many people. Perhaps you should light that walkway, with some ground level lights; enough to see where NOT to trip, but not enough to let anyone see the back of your panties.
One comment said you should have kept it there for a while. Yes, that would have been nice, but you had a house full of people, that would not understand the increasing odor. THAT I do understand. Maybe next time...
