Thanks for your support. Our relationship with the models is pretty much as you described. They are very indepndent people, with their own criteria about what kind of modelling assignment they carry out for whom, and at what price. This would be true of all legitimate photographers and publishers.
What proportion are legitimate? Who knows. Certainly there are reports from some regions of the world, such as Russia, where the extreme poverty and maffia-rule that characterise their "liberation" from Communism have created an ideal environment for exploitation.
I agree with you that the destruction of legitimate and fair modelling work (as proposed by WetOne) can lead only to the increased proliferation of explotation. "Free", as proposed by him, means model doesn't get paid, and the pics are there as an upsell for some scam. In short, he wants me to produce my hundreds of pics each month without paying the models anything (i.e, by violence); he then wants me to put them on a free site - which means I obviously then have many thousands of dollars of bandwidth to pay each month (which means I have to be fine-tuning the site and the pics to successfully sell some scam - it'd have to be something criminal, to recoup that amount of money plus my living expenses!)
