Asparagus will make your pee smell an taste horrible. Also coffee will make it bitter.
Just drinking a lot of water will make it very dilute and clear and there won't be much smell or taste at all. Actually the health experts say that most people don't drink enough water and by the time you actually feel thirsty you are already somewhat dehydrated. They say if your pee is clear as water then you're drinking enough to keep the body hydrated.
I once had the pleasure of tasting a woman's pee after she had been drinking a bunch of cider. She tasted just like warm, spiced apple juice! I thought that was neat.
Another time cheap beer was what she drank and she tasted like cheap, warm beer. Didn't really like that so much as I don't really like beer to begin with and being from the U.S. warm beer is not something I'm used to especially when it's cheap.
