I've never been far from home until I left for college. This was my first time away from home and I arranged a flight home to visit my parents during Christmas. The airplane would only make one stop where I would have to change planes. This was good since I wasn't sure what all was involved.
I had enjoyed the first half of the flight drinking diet sodas and talking with other passengers. When we landed at the airport where I would have to change planes it was very hectic. I wasn't sure where I needed to go or what to do. I asked a fight attendant for help and she pointed in the direction of my next airplane and told me to hurry or I would miss it!
I ran to the gate and was the last to board the airplane. As I sat in my seat waiting for the airplane to take off I realized my need for a bathroom. I was surprised how badly I had to pee! I suppose I hadn't noticed since I was in such a hurry to make it to this airplane. I remember having to pee on the last flight and how I decided I would just wait until we landed and I would use the bathroom in the airport. I was very desperate but thought I would make it. Now I was on the airplane and we were getting ready to leave.
I got up to use the bathroom, but the Flight Attendant stopped me and told me to remain seated or we couldn't leave. I started to explain that it was an emergency but she cut me off and insisted I go back to my seat! I didn't know what to do. I was desperate to pee but they wouldn't let me go to the bathroom!
I waited for the "Seat Belt" light to go off but it didn't go out. Instead I heard the announcement that we must remain in our seats because of turbulence. I couldn't hold it any longer and I ran from my seat toward the back of the plane only to be stopped by the Flight Attendant once again. She told me to return to my seat. I said, "I'm going to pee in my pants! I can't hold it!" She just said, "I'm sure we'll be out of this turbulence soon. Then you will be able to go to the bathroom."
I sat in my seat with both hands in my crotch wishing I had worn black sweats instead of the tight faded blue jeans I chose for the flight. I wondered what I would do if I couldn't hold it and wet my pants right there on the airplane. Suddenly I felt a warm gush rush into the crotch of my pants and spread across the back of my jeans! I heard a voice. It was the Flight Attendant talking to me, "Miss? You can go to the bathroom now."
I looked up at the Flight Attendant and she realized what had happened. All she could say was how sorry she was and asked if I had some carry-on luggage in the overhead bin she could get for me. I almost passed-out when I realized I had no clothes to change into until I got my luggage that I had checked in.
I suddenly didn't care how many people on the airplane knew what happened. The only thing I could think about were how many of my friends and relatives were going to be at the gate to greet me!
Leaving the airplane with a wet butt and nothing to cover it with only to meet all my friends and relatives at the gate was the most embarrassing moment of my life! The flashes from the cameras were going off I assume only until it was realized that I had peed in my pants on the airplane. I now wonder how many people have pictures of my only public accident.
