Last week there was a story posted called Deja Vu all over again. A lot of people think of yogi Berra, the baseball player when they hear or see that. In fact I hear someone say it fairly often. Here it is again.
Last saturday my wife got up early to go christmas shopping. I heard the door close but I didn't hear the car start. Within seconds I heard the door again and then her yelling for me. I found her in the kitchen gingerly holding this white cloth in two fingers. As I got closer to her I saw it was a pair of panties and that they appearedto be wet. She was yelling at me that I HAD to talk to my son. You know the routine; he does something good it's her son but if it's bad he's my son. OUR son is 18 and a senior in high school. He's also on the basketball team. Friday night was an away game and we let him take the car to school. I knew where my wife was coming from and as she was yelling at me I was secretly smiling to myself thinking "way to go son!". I took the panties from her promising that I would take care of the matter and she left. Robby has a weekend job that starts at 6 A.M. and ends at 4 P.M. I was hoping he would get home before my wife so she didn't get involved in the conversation. I got lucky. Robby beat his mom home.
As I approaced him I had a hard time keeping a smile off my face. I asked if he had forgotten something in the car the night before. He shook his head no. I then asked if he had a girl with him and again he said no. Now even I was a bit puzzled. I cut to the point and pulled out the panties. He got all red and started shifting his feet on the floor. I said one word. "Explian"
It seems as though the school doesn't have a strict policy on weather the cheerleaders ride on the bus or not. Some away games they do. Some they don't. Friday night they did. There had been some security problems during the game and our kids were told to take their personal belongings out to the bus, just to be safe. When the game was over the cheerleaders went back to the bus to get some of their things. The bus was locked and they couldn't find the bus driver. From what Robby said they stayed around the bus until the boys came out. Finally the bus driver appeared and they all got on and headed for home. Like most kids, especially after a winning game, they were wild. They were supposed to stop for a bite to eat but the coach told them that their behavior on the bus didn't warrant stopping. Robby said the hooting was unmerciful. When they got back to school the coach made them all sit in their seats for about 15 minutes without them saying a word. Robby told me he could see some of the cheerleaders bouncing in their seats from where he sat. When they were all finally let off the bus the girls ran like hell for the locker room. Robby said that when he got to the front of the bus he could see the floor was wet. He said the guys were trying to figure out who had pissed themselves and set out to find out who it was. Now as he's telling me this I've got a shit eating grin on my face. I couldn't help it. He's seroius. I'm smiling. He then tells me that a couple of the guys date cheerleaders and they said they would find out who it was. The rest of the guys, Robby included, just hung out. When the two guys came back they were all smiles. It had been 2 girls and they knew who they were. Now they all stood there waiting for the girls to come out. One of the girls was a friend of Robby and he said he felt sorry for her. He told me her name and I recognized it as a girl he sometimes dated. When the girls came out the guys really razzed them and gave them a hard time. This girl Robby knew was holding something in her hand as she ran to go. One of the guys grabbed at it and she dropped it and didn't stop to pick it up. It was her wet panties. The guys picked them up and taunted her and the rest of the girls until they left. Then they threw the panties on the ground. Robby had picked them up to return to the girl.
He's dead serious as he's telling me this. I won't say he was scared but I definately had his attention. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. The reason? His mother had the same thing happen to her. I know as I was dating her at the time. I couldn't wait for my wife to get home to tell her. I didn't tell Robby about his mother. You like to keep some images as they are. I wonder if Robby will get serious with this girl and end up marrying her. Then it would be a real deja vu.
