Not naive at all. Good question. Since my divorce some years ago, I have undressed my share of women and have encountered an occasional panty girdle, but can't remember a single one of the open bottom type. But since these women have ranged from 6 to (in one case) 29 years younger than I, it may be a generation thing! I liked the open bottom type as long as they didn't wear any other underwear with it. My ex-wife didn't, except sometimes she would wear a kotex belt for her period, or for urinary protection in case she wet herself during a long special event like a concert or a play. But even she only wore them when she dressed up for special occasions . . . otherwise it was either a panty girdle or just panties. What I liked about the open style, though, were the many opportunities for a dirty-minded, observant guy like me, with 20/15 vision, to get a visual upskirt glance (especially up my wife's long, gorgeous legs) and see the uncovered holy-of-holies!
