I usually lurk in this board. However, this time I am taking exception because I feel that pppanties' statements about date rape need to be rebutted. I don't want to be a "flamer" and the issue I raise may a be a bit off-topic, but I think it is important that it be raised. (BTW, I do like pppanties' desperation postings and this posting is not meant to spite her.)
Why should the MAN be held responsible for even "shades of date rape"? If we follow pppanties' logic, why shouldn't the WOMAN be held responsible for leading the man onto something he would not have done if he had been sober? After all, they BOTH had a few. (Or should she sue the stills that made the alcohol they drank???!)
How likely is it for a sober woman to come up to a man and directly tell him, "I would like you to fuck my brains out!"? Not very likely, right? Therefore, how was the man supposed to know that the woman's decision making was impaired? By giving her a breathalyzer test (and then what alcohol level should he have used?)? Why, if we assume that the woman in question was legally drunk, she could have been legally liable if she got behind the wheel of a car and had the keys in the ignition, while on the other hand the MAN would be considered a rapist if he fucked her, eventhough she did not object? In other words, why should the man be prosecuted for not making decisions for her? Is this women's lib?
The bottom line is this: If women (or anybody)want to be free, they should be responsible and accountable FOR THEMSELVES. Personal freedom REQUIRES personal responsibility and accountability.
pppanties, I believe there are "true" date rape cases, e.g. when the man spikes the woman's drink with mind altering substances. This was certainly not the case here. Do you want to know something else? Most people raped in the US are MEN! That's right! Do you know how many men are raped in jails? Even many who did not commit any serious crimes. (I don't think any judge decided that any of them should be raped!) Unfortunately, the crooked politicians won't listen to them because they are not allowed to vote.
Anyway, now that I got this off my chest and I realized that I am overcoming my apprehension of posting here, I may start posting regularly. I have witnessed several cases of EXTREME female desperation (two suspected wettings in airplanes, relevant to the posts below --sorry, I did not see any wet patches because in each case the woman emerged from the bathroom with a blouse wrapped around her waist) and some cases of extreme male desperation, which would certainly titillate many of the ladies visiting this board.
