I've been reading this site for a little while, on and off.My husband has persuaded me to write and I have at last plucked up courage.
Almost 11 years ago when I was 20 and living at home I had an accident. Coming home on the bus, I was badly needing to wee.In the comparative warmth of the bus it was urgent but not desparate. When I got off it was freezing. The change of temparature almost immediately provoked a crisis. It was about 15 minutes walk home. Thanks to the cold, by the time I got there I had completely wet my knickers.
As soon as I got in my Mum realised that something was wrong. Almost in tears, I admitted I had wet myself. To my surprise and relief she was very matter of fact about it, saying it was nothing to be upset about, just go and change.
Next day when we were alone she brought up the subject again. She said something like "Don't worry about that accident yesterday. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Lots of women have the occasional accident in their knickers. It happens to me now and again, especially on a cold day.Anyway, if you are dying to wee it's sometimes better just to do it rather than risk hurting yourself.
I think I have always been interested in accidents and wet knickers since then. I never knew of my Mum wetting hers but I guess she must have.
So I have a question: Have any othe readers found a sudden drop in temparature the cause of wet knickers?
