I've worked on the enquiry desk at a private office for almost a year and no-one has ever asked to use a toilet until yesterday when TWO people did in one afternoon. The first was a woman about 35 who came in without having any business and whispered quietly to me, "excuse me but do you have a ladies that I could use please, it's a bit of an emergency" We're not supposed to let people use the toilet but she looked so pleading that I just showed her through. When she came out she said "thank you so much" and left. About an hour later, a man about mid-20's in a suit came in and asked if there was a toilet he could use. I wondered if I was being set up, hidden camera etc!, and I told him that the nearest toilets were in the shopping centre but he said, "oh come on mate, be a pal, I'm almost wetting myself" he laughed as he said it but again I gave in and let him through. When he came out he said, "thanks, you saved my life there" and off he went. I'd have got in trouble if my boss had found out.
Has anyone else had anyone ask to use a toilet at either their home of workplace and would you always say yes?
