I usually save my most desperate moments for the safety of my own home but occasionally I'll feel daring enough to go out in public that way. I'm not into public wetting, but the risk-taking can be fun. Getting into it slowly as you are doing is a good idea. Learn your capabilities and limits before trying it without a net, unless of course you WANT to pee your pants in front of everyone. (That works for some people.)
