I think there is a distinction to be drawn here. It may be that women and girls caught in a large public event such as a pop concert with limited access to toilets may accidentally wet themselves in a way that is unrelated to the excitement of the event. It seems from this board that this can happen to both men and women.
However I think the phenomenon of teenage girls wetting as part of mass fan hysteria is something else again. The hysteria is undoubtedly sexual and many women looking back on wetting their knickers in these circumstances have said that it was powerfully orgasmic - maybe the most powerful orgasmic experience they had for many years.
What I have often wondered is this. Did girls go to these concerts knowing that they would probably wet themselves or was it a spontaneous thing that just happened? Did they plan to wet themselves? Was wetting your knickers in this way the whole point of going? And did they dress accordingly? Did they make sure that they were wearing a skirt or a dress so that they could wet without having to go home in obviously soaking wet jeans? And how did they explain their wet knickers to Mum and Dad if they were found out?
