I have many stories to share on this topic.
My fiance' is on the ship with me. We can't get married or one of us get transferred. She gets turned on by it but hers are accidental. She has problems but some of the more interesting stores come from some other girls on the ship. Most of the incident are on lookout. Its dark your drinking coffee to stay awake but then all of a sudden you have to go and your not gonna get relieved from watch fo maybe an hour or sometime up to four hours. Some of the girls have used the wide mouth gatorade bittles an inserted them into their coveralls, most most take multiple pads on watch and just insert go and throw over the side.
I once years ago was in deck and I wasn't getting relieved anytime soon so I just whipped it out and peed on the harpoon missile launchers. Many times it happens because you need to stay hydrated in the 100 degree firerooms and engine rooms you have to force your self to drink a temendous amount of water because you sweating so hard. Its some time funny when your in the pit or the pumprooms and your working with some one and she has to pee. Because she has to go up a verticle ladder from the keel of the ship up maybe 50 feet and all of a sudden you hear cussing and it starts raining. Many stories so little time. I have just happen to heard so many lately because the subject came up while we were driving down the road. The car was full of my fiance's friends and these girls all had a story to share. Most have had to use a pad one time or another. But, they got a kick picturing my just whipping it out and pissing in the bildge. I have to pump it down anyways and I'm on too tight of a schedule to just take a break. I got too many pumprooms to pumpdown, CHT (shittanks) to pumpdown and other related task. Some one has to measure potable water consumption and fuel useage.
A sailor works his or her ass off to keep the machine running. And, potty breaks are a luxuary some of us just don't have time for.
