pantiespooper had some good suggestions. I believe the key one is consistency. A firmer poop, as she says, does not spread as well but I am sure having it riding between your cheeks and even up to your front should feel very good.
As other commenters said, don't give up. Just take some suggestions that were given and give it another try when the signifcant other is not around then get back to us.
