This essay of 1,000 words is the punishment that we have to do for what we did last Wednesday. We are both very sorry for what we did.
What we did was to arrange to meet in the Science Wing girls’ room during 7th period science class. We each got passes from each teacher that period by saying that we needed to use the girls’ room. The two of us normally talk a lot at lunch but today we got busy with other stuff and never really got a chance to talk much. We had some things that we wanted to talk about so we decided to meet in the girls’ room and talk then. It was wrong of us to do that and for doing that, we are now getting punished. We deserved the punishment that we got.
It was wrong of us to lie to our teacher and say that we needed to use the girls’ room when we didn’t need to go. This is wrong because sometimes girls really do need to go to the girls’ room during class and the teacher doesn’t want to let them go because they think that she may be lying about it just to get out of class. We both know of girls who have had accidents in class – and we mean more than just urinating in her pants – because teachers would not let them go to the girls’ room. Yes, we both know girls who have messed in the pants and even gone both ways in their pants because teachers didn’t believe them when they said that they had to go to the girls’ room. When things like that happen, you can blame girls who ask to go to the girls’ room when they don’t really have to go. We are very sorry about that.
When we decided to meet up in the girls’ room during seventh period, we weren’t thinking of why it was wrong and we were not thinking of the consequences. Of course, we did know that what we were doing was wrong, but we just didn’t think about that. We really didn’t mean anything bad by what we did – we just weren’t thinking like we should have. Now, we get to think about it while writing this 1,000 essay and while we serve our time in detention. We regret what we did. Not only was it not worth the punishment that we have to do, but we know that it’s just the wrong thing to do.
Now that we look at it, we realize that it was very disrespectful to lie to each of our science teachers – telling them that we had to go to the bathroom when we didn’t. If we want them to trust us and believe us when we really do need to use the girls’ room, this was really not the right thing to do. Not only is this lying to our teacher, which is very wrong, but it’s like saying to them that science class is not important. We honestly did not mean to imply that science class was not important, but that is certainly what we implied by wasting class time like we did. We may have thought at the time that what we wanted to talk about was more important than science class, but certainly it wasn’t. Science class was obviously way more important. We know that there are some teachers at this school that believe that class time is even more important than girls going to the bathroom when they really need to. Those teachers never let anyone go to the girls’ room no matter how bad they have to go. Both of us are lucky enough to have a science teacher who is really nice about girls’ room passes. But instead of being appreciative of that and being thankful for that, we took advantage of that. We are very, very sorry.
The more we think about this, the more we realize how wrong this was for so many reasons. We wonder what is going to happen the next time one of us asks for a girls’ room pass. It would serve us right if they didn’t believe us when we said we had to go. We both really like the idea of being able to go to the girls’ room when we need to. Now, we have to wonder if our teachers will let us go and whether they’ll make us sit there and hold it in. It is very uncomfortable to be sitting there in class holding it in when you really have to go – especially when you have to go both ways. And then if you can’t get permission to go to the girls’ room, you always have to worry about having an accident in class. Neither of us wants to have an accident in class – even if it’s only a urinating one – but we know it’s what could happen because of what we did last Wednesday. Like we’ve said, it just really wasn’t worth it to have our little meeting in the girls’ room during 7th period. We just hope that our teachers won’t hold it against us that much and that they will believe us and let us go to the girls’ room if we really do need to. But I don’t think that we could really blame them if they didn’t let us.
The right thing to do is to only ask for a girls’ room pass when you really need to use the girls’ room – and that means needing to use the toilet and not just using the girls’ room to talk or fool around. We promise you that will be the only time that we’ll ask for a girls’ room pass from now on. We think that if more girls only asked for girls’ room passes when they really needed to use the girls’ room (for it’s intended purpose), then teachers wouldn’t mind so much letting girls go when they asked. We hope that our actions on Wednesday do not discourage teachers from letting girls go to the girls’ room when they need to.
Once again, we are very sorry for what we did and we promise you that we will never do it again.
