Web law, as I understand it, mostly consists of a loose agreement between website owners to honor Cease and Desist requests unless you have a REALLY, REALLY good reason. The internet is comparatively young and for now I guess most of the web is following a sort of makeshift mob rule in absence of a more powerful federal authority.
