I remember when I joined back in like 1995. It had just as much Spam and desperate dudes looking for ladies, trust me. The Spam goes in waves, we'll go a few months with next to none, then a few weeks with nothing BUT spam. People have constantly had the same complaints about this place, but there are permanent fixtures like pantiespooper and Maria that keep it on life-support.
No arguments about the stories though, no offense to you, Narada, or anyone else writing. There were so many people who understood the porn writing process! Too many newcomers are trying to write these epic stories, these novellas, without realizing that their target audience is trying to jerk off. I come here on the off-chance of reading something that will arouse me and inspire me to have an orgasm. If I want to read good writing I will pick up something by Simmons or King or Martin or one of the classics-- they are two different urges and it would be stupid to try to fulfil both in one place.
Someone should start posting the stuff they had on Ripple's and we could all just use that as an example, y'know?
