1. Why choose downloads?
Downloading a video is a fast and secure alternative to buying a VHS video or DVD in the mail. There are no potential problems with customs, no chance of the parcel being lost in the mail or someone else finding and opening your post, and of course it's so much faster.

2. What happens after I order?
Once your order has been received and processed (which should take less than a minute), you will be given a link to proceed directly with your download. You will also receive a confirmation email with full instructions on how to go back and try again should your connection drop out. The email is mainly just a confirmation of your purchase.

3. Do I need to wait for the email?
No. You will go directly to your download account once your payment has been processed. There is no need to wait for the email.

4. What if I don't get the email?
Firstly, check your junk inbox, especially if you use Hotmail. The notification email is often filtered by Hotmail as junk mail. Secondly, if you feel you have waited long enough, contact Wet Set at support@wetset.net to see if there is a problem. The email is not needed anyway, as you can go directly to the download account yourself, even if the email has gone astray.

5. How are the download files encoded?
1. The newer movies are encoded in Quicktime using the highest quality codecs currenyly available: H264 two pass encoding with variable bitrate compression and deinterlacing, and ACC stereo sound compression. These movies are at 720 x 576 pixels in size and 25 frames per second. This is about as close as you can get to DVD quality in a download. Movies of this type are denoted by *DVD* after the title. (Note that each of these movies also has a Windows Media version at a lower file size for faster downloading.)

2. Some download files are in Quicktime format, encoded using the Sorenson Video 3 Pro codec - a very high quality codec - utilizing 2 pass variable bitrate compression and deinterlacing. We use stereo sound with Qdesign Music compression. All movies play at an initial size of 360 x 288 pixels, but can easily be expanded to full screen.

3. Other files are in Windows Media format, encoded using the Windows Media 9 codec, which also produces a high quality image. Sound is stereo, using the Windows Media Audio 9.1 codec. These movies play at an initial size of 400 x 300 pixels, but can easily be expanded to full screen.

6. Performing the download.
File sizes are still quite large (around 160-700MB) so you will need a FAST internet connection. If you only have dial up, do NOT order these full length movies. It will still take about 20-30 minutes to download the files on a dsl or cable connection. Refunds will not be given if you order despite having a slow connection.

The file is downloaded in ZIP format, and needs to be unzipped before you can view it.

7. Playing the movie.
1. Unzip the file using a program such as WinZip.

2. For Quicktime movies (.mov extension) just double click on it and it will open in Quicktime. If you do not have Quicktime, it can be downloaded for free from the Quicktime website. The movie will initially play at a size of 360 x 288 pixels, but can be enlarged to full screen.

3. For Windows Media movies (.wmv extension) just double click on it and it will open in Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player comes standard with Microsoft Windows. The movie will initially play at a size of 400 x 300 pixels, but can be enlarged to full screen.
