I posted that very post a few months ago as Daddy Andy. I now prefer to be called Daddy Blush.
As a daddy, I can think of no better bonding experience than to look down at my little one suckling my breast.
It is possible. It just takes a few herbs and a breast pump, one of which I am wearing and using right now.
It is the first time I've used it so no milk yet! But I hope that, in a few weeks' time, I will begin lactating and then breastfeeding my little one.
She is also in two minds but I hope she can come to like the idea. I would love that.
Let's face it, gender lines are becoming blurred all the time.
Hundreds of years ago, women never had the vote, didn't go to school and were generally treated as second-class citizens compared to men.
Who would have thought of women wearing trousers and shirts even a few decades ago? Working instead of being the dutiful housewife? Horror! Now it's the norm.
So if women can take on once-masculine roles, why on earth shouldn't a man take on a feminine role such as breastfeeding, whether in an AB relationship or with a real baby?
Many mothers would jump at the chance because it would mean they get to share the workload.
And why should they get to have the ultimate bonding experience while daddy just gets to watch? And it ain't the same him feeding from a bottle, I don't care what anyone says.
Bring on the prolactin I say. I can't wait to get started.
