It seems to me that there are two distinct camps on this one. Those bABies that like disposables and those that don't. I used to think that it was influenced by the sort of nappy that was used in genuine babyhood but know some younger ABs who were nappied in disposables but who prefer terries as ABs.
Partly, from a daddy's point of view, it's about making bABy comfortable and also creating the feel and look - which, to my mind, a big terry and plastic pants does very well.
I guess, therefore, that the best solution is to use both which I have done in the past; disposables are great for outdoor use and for a dirty nappy. But terries remain my favourite - and daddys usually have the last say lol
