Well let's just do it. I guess at first I was a bit weary of scaring all the Americans away, and there are a lot of you who use this board. Those outside America have open discussions on the President all the time, and we really don’t care. But its easy when the majority of the people you know are of the same opinion that Bush administration is truly fucked up.
And what is scaring me right now is what John Howard (Prime Minister of Australia) said recently. He was asked what is the bigger problem, Terrorism or Global Warming. His answer was Terrorism, because we are dealing with Global Warming! We are???? How? By NOT signing Kyoto Protocol?!
We are heading into summer and into a massive drought. Our dams are nearly empty. This sun burnt country is suffering, like many other countries will only in a few years time. And we are all at the mercy of a prick called George Bush and his administration, and of course also the current Australian Government and many other governments alike.
I guess all I can say is to people, is instead of going to see a shallow movie like ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ (although I am sure its really not that bad) go and see something that will make you think, and maybe you can make a difference. I am talking about all of you seeing Al Gores movie ‘The Inconvenient Truth’.
There are simple ways in which we can improve our lives and that will make a difference. Making simple choices about the products we buy, the cars we drive (and how much we drive them) and think about how much we consume. Do I really need it?, is the question you need to ask yourself. Taking time to think about our decisions. One thing is to just search on the Internet for sites that can point you in the right direction for making small changes around your house that will save energy. I will post some links tomorrow.
I know this was supposed to talk about Bush, but we all know he is a wanker. I think my points are related even though they are environmental issues. But environmental issues are intertwined with the political issues.
I am investigating into environmental Adult Disposable nappies, but in the mean time using cloth nappies as much as possible.
Remember, WE ARE NOT AT THE MERCY OF ALMIGHTY GOD, WE ARE AT THE MERCY OF OURSELVES. ONLY WE CAN FIX THIS MESS.
