Just tell him that it's good to have different kinds of jammies for all different seasons. you wouldn't wear snow gear in 100 degrees, so why would you wear thick heavy jammies in the summer? There are pleanty of little girl style summer jammies to pick from. All you need to do is go looking together or if you can, buy some and bring them home so he can see that there are alternatives without losing character.
