For me, part of it is definately the BDSM/sexual high aspect. But it's more than that, because I also enjoy taking care of LG's in a non sexual way. Perhaps I like to take care of others, because it makes me feel needed, and gives me purpose. When you are alone, you can let things slide. But when someone depends on you... You have to let go of yourself. It's a sort of zen thing.
