Back in the 80's, Nancy Friday wrote a book called "Men in Love". The title really doesn't give much away about what the book is really about. In it, she covers a wide range of alternative lifestyles including, surprisingly,
Infantilism and love for diapers. While most of what she writes about are described as obsessions and fetishes, love for diapers is the one exception!! Diapers exist for natural functions, but none of the fetishes do. Another writer points out that love for diapers usually occurs at a young age (seven, for example), many years before puberty (that being when 'fetishes' are supposed to develop). I would like to add that everyone we know was raised in diapers, so what could be more natural than pleasant associations with that time in our life. Since diapers come in adult sizes, and if it feels good, why not 'do it' in diapers? Of life's many mysteries, diapers are so basic it seems like they've always been here and will go on forever. Despite what "society" thinks is right, I'd rather keep the diapers than be without them. As time goes on I have ever greater respect and admiration for friends (wherever they may be) who'd rather be diapered (especially the girls!!) So many others have experienced the same problems, keeping the big secret about their lifestyle. This is something we should be proud of, and even if love for diapers "seems" to be unpopular we will never really know. Such is the legacy of shame of the pottytrained that no one wants to be first to admit their love for diapers. I'm with you Amy!!
