Interesting theory.
I am the middle child (no. 3 of 4), but my parents took a 10 year break between kids. I am the oldest over my "little" brother after that break and the youngest Girl in my family.
I can remember though when I was very young that I used to steal diapers from my mom's dayhome kids at the age of 5 or 6 and would pee in them. As for why? I am not sure. Then again I think hardly any of us know why we started.
