Indeed, it does seem that the majority of people in this fetish are male.
Most girls kind of hide because there are a lot of...shall we say, creepy or impolite guys out there. These bad eggs don't know how to treat a lady.
Anyways, fact of the matter is that you'll never know for sure about the gender of a person unless you meet them in real life...and even then, modern plastic surgery can do some amazing things.
So don't worry about it, and just shoot for having good conversations.
