I'd talk with her before sprining it on her. You never know what can freak someone out. I had a g/f once who was into BDSM and AB/DL she loved it all, however she never told me that she had been sexually abused, so one time when I was dominating her, I slipped a diaper under her while she was restrained/blind-folded, she started crying and we stopped. She was into everything, however not all at once because of her past. The diapers for her were mostly comfort, not totally sexual.
I learned the hard way, we recovered but still, it was a bad couple hours, very emotional for her.
Communication is always the sign of a healthy relationship, you can't fail by talking, it already sounds like you have good communication, keep it up. At the very least, she may try it and love it, or totally hate the idea straight up, but at least it won't be traumatic.
