Haven't seen it, but I've seen it happen time and time again with other groups, a documentary/talk show comes along saying they want to learn more, the "guests" feel really excited to represent their group, and then get exploited to look like freaks for the entertainment value of the show.
These shows usualy focus on entertainment, its not entertaining to have a show that says "these people are just like you", the get more viewers unfortunately by doing a show that says "look at these people, their different, lets laugh at them"
I've seen countless examples of this in many groups.
I'm not saying it's not possible for a show to do a good job, I'm just saying that with the current television trends, it's not likely.
