Well, this is an interesting one as I am the beloved niece of the above Daddy Paul, well Unkle Paul to me... and it is a totally different thing for me than a daddy.
Basically I have no daddy at the moment... and while the search for someone lovely is ongoing I feel like I need someone watching over me and just making sure I am okay, in return I go to his house play with his little girl (who is a good good friend), eat his cookies, draw pictures etc. Generally take care of me.
But he is not my daddy; he has his little girl and I am looking for someone else who will protect and look after me in the long term as my daddy. It is not a poly relationship because we are all monogomous and happy that way, he is just like a bio-uncle. He is has a sense of responsibility for checking I am okay and that potential daddies aren't maniacs or anything.
For me a brother would probably be an AB as well, and right now that is not where I am at.
The daddy is a kind of idealised thing for me... one day I'll find him, but for now I have Uncle Paul to look out for me.
