You might try going to your local BDSM group or munch. (Yes, diaper folk are welcome there) Here's a link that features many group and munch listings in the New England area, including Maine:

Make sure you correspond with the group host before you attend to insure that you don't show up on the wrong date, time, location, etc.
You might also try organizing your own diaper munch. You could even organize it several towns away from where you attend college, so as to protect your privacy. I'm sure there are plenty of diaper folks in Maine who would like a diaper munch group. Necessity is the mother of invention, and there's nothing wrong with starting a group with a little bit of selfish intent mixed in there. Maybe you'll find that great gal and in the process, help a lot of other people find the community, support, friendship and love for which they have been looking.
If you absolutely cannot do that, then you might try the Boston area for community. TinyTroy organizes gatherings there. I'd say your chances of finding your dream woman there are even more remote, but the possibility exists nonetheless.
The DPF roster is a good place to look. You might also try the Dailydiapers roster, or Alt.com, the latter of which is a *great* place to look. Definitely worth paying the price of admission.
A final word about your comment, "I really want to be a daddy..." IMO, one need not have a babygirl or LG to be a Daddy. You may believe differently, but I thought my perspective might encourage you to believe in your "Daddy self" even while you're searching.
