L.E., the newsletter was free, and published directly on the website. *Anyone* 18 or older could have contributed to it.
In fact, I opened the website up so that others could write anything they wanted to the site itself (with my edits of course). Since you read the site, and since that blurb was in the newsletter, I assume you read lots there. 'Twas yours to contribute.
