As one who conversed with you for a while (albeit under a different nick) before you disappeared without explanation, it was a little ironic to read your post!
Wouldn’t wish to speculate as to why the LGs you mention ceased contact, though all of the points made previously are very valid. It’s not necessarily that you (or they) did anything wrong, but just sometimes the realisation dawns that you’re not compatible – as in relationships of any flavour.
I agree that disappearance without explanation is difficult and personally I prefer closure, however brief. We’re all different and that someone decides to wander off or take an extended ‘breather’ does not necessarily make them “fickle”. As regards advice for the future, Katie’s point about being too intimate too soon, was well made and had some resonance (though, again there may be those who are comfortable with this). Taking time to build a friendship with a LG would seem key and, IMHO is likely to be more fruitful in the longer term.
