I agree L.E. I have been on this board for a few months now, thus making me one of the longest posting girls here. I have no problem speaking my mind, and as many long time posters here know I take my time and say exactly what I mean. It *IS* important for girls to speak their mind and be assertive here. I am in total agreement with you about that DR. However, in order for this board to continue on in traditional fashion where girls grow strong, it would be nice if the guys could hang back for awhile. I don't mean for really long periods of time though. Just long enough so that the girls develop a very healthy thread, and then the guys are free to interject.
What the guys will find is that the girls become more assertive and the long threads (much like Daddy Brian refers to in another post)help the new girls bond. In order for the assertiveness to develop strong and healthy, special precautions must be taken so as not to deter progress.
I'm taking on the leadership role here, because the other long time LG members aren't as active as they once were. This isn't for my sake, but for those like Tisha and anyone else who has been hurt in the past. I went through that, and would never want to see it happen to someone else. This is my safe place, and I'm here to help make it that way for the others.
I know I can't save the world, but I can do my part to make a difference in someones life.
