I know that for myself, I was nearly run off the board because of a few very negative and borderline verbally violent replies to things that I posted. It was never my intent to offend or piss anyone off, yet I did just that.

Its hard to be in a "little" headspace, posting away and thinking that everything is all cool, that this place was a 'safe zone' and you could just just do, and be, and say what popped into your head. So long as you were not rude and disrespectful to anyone.

I have since learned that when I come here I have to be out of that headspace and very much in more of the adult mindset to protect myself. Of the 6 people who have msg'd me in email, 3 of them were of other little girls who have said that they no longer post here for the same reason that I almost stopped. They saw the responses that I got, knew how it would have effected them if it had been directed to them, and wanted to make sure I was ok after reading.

I cant speak for others, but Im just stubborn enough to stay put even if I do piss people off. I am not asking for anyone to change, just maybe to be a little more gentle sometimes? :)

Most people wouldn’t walk up to an actual 8 year old and rip her face off verbally for being a spoiled brat, but it seems totally ok to do that here. Of course.. everyone here expresses the right to post and respond just as the rest of us are. The only negative about it though is the little girls will post less and less when they see it happening to others.

Just my opinion, being that I am still relatively new here, maybe I am wrong. Though I speak of my own situation, they may or may not mirror the experiences of others here.
