I agree with almost everything you wrote except for your last sentence:
"Don't forget to let us have a fair chance to speak our minds."
Although L.E. and others here have said that its vital to respect women on this forum (as it is to respect everyone IMO), the women here also have to assert themselves to have that "fair chance."
No one can give you a fair chance in life -- only you can take that. "Shyness" is not a valid reason why some folks wait "until the water's calm." Nor is submissiveness a valid reason; I know many vocal subs.
The responsibility for one's voice lies with himself or herself but no other. The women here who don't like the Daddy-bickering or ISO's or male-dominated chatter should say so loudly and proudly if they want an equal voice on the board.
In sum Leigh, I'll rephrase your quote: don't forget to *claim* your fair chance to speak your minds.
