Hi Tisha. I know exactly how you feel, and until recently, I was able to admit it to my boyfriend. It can be hard to trust. I know this, because my last relationship was abusive (it's posted in the archives). My last boyfriend took my LG side to the extremes, and after that I became uneasy with showing any emotions to anyone. I need to be in control, or else I feel powerless (very scary in itself). It takes a lot of time before those walls can come down, but with patience and understanding, it can. Your age is just fine here. Personally, I range between 2-4. Like you, I find letting myself out in bits and pieces works the best. The two big fears you list, in regards to what others might think of you, can be disproven if you go very slowly. Those were my biggest fears too.
