I think that your "leading the dance" comment was a VERY interesting point. It would seem, to me, that many ageplay relationships don't necessarily seem to revolve around (or even have) significant power exchanges, unless you count spanking positions (i.e bottom/spankee and Top/Spanker), which I for one wouldn't quite see as power exchange.
Sometimes I think that some of us (myself certainly included) seem to get a little ahead of ourselves in terms of calling ageplay a subset of BDSM, D/s, or S/m (pick your acronym). Personally, I'm more for terming things "kink", which I use to encompass all sorts of different loving (from furries to ageplay to W/s to sploshing to BDSM etc).
