I don't think it's a question of reluctance to train so much as having confidence ie being emotionally secure in the relationship. That would come in time and I agree could become a beautiful thing in that context.
If the intent was expressed early but then too much pressure piled on to push training before the confidence,love,emotional security had time to grow into a solid bond, I think it may be a little scary or in extreme cases end up destroying a young relationship.
Also in reply to the earlier discussion re safe words: I love being dominated, love wearing nappies and being babied. I find all of these things a pleasure. It would only stop being a pleasure if I was asked to do or if something was attempted to be forced on me that made me feel uncomfortable, scared, or made me feel bad about myself. I hope this is clearer than previous reply.
