I'm not really sure I understand your response at all, especially the seeming leap of logic in which you "to learn something different than that" because you were "in a healthy relationship where the other person genuinely valued my thoughts and feelings". Perhaps you would care to clarify?
As it being your "issue" and your "problem", does terming it as such make it any easier to establish healthy, trusting relationships by preceding them (or making an entrance condition of) "tests", games, and a default distrust of potential partners?
