Tell her you want her to fully understand why you like it. Tell her how YOU feel about it, and what it is you like about it - because you care about her, and want her to understand why you do something "unconventional" like that.
Then tell her you'd like her to at least put one on so that she can understand your frame of mind completely. Don't come at her like you're trying to get her into it, because then she's going to feel presured.
Ask once, then wait a while, and ask again.
Like I said, don't let her feel pressured, help her to feel like she's part of your club :)
The rest will come if it's in the cards.
